Good morning, Dallas.
Thursday was the longest day of 2024. Summer is officially here, and so are the Crepe Myrtle blossoms.

Dallas Native Sprints Into the Olympics
There’s fast, and then there’s Sha’Carri Richardson fast. The decorated sprinter earned her spot at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris after a standout performance in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She won the 100-meter finals, setting the fastest women’s time this year (globally) at just 10.71 seconds. After Richardson missed the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, this feels like the start of her redemption arc.

Hot Springs Coming to Grandscape
On June 28, WorldSprings will open a nine-acre outdoor mineral springs experience in The Colony. To call it anything less than an “experience” would be a disservice. The complex will include 46 outdoor soaking pools (that’s 41 mineral hot springs, 2 freshwater pools, and 3 cold plunges) inspired by destinations from across the world. Gently float through the hypersaline waters of the Dead Sea, then relax in Iceland’s Blue Lagoon. The pools will span an entire spectrum of temperatures and mineral conditions. Subway UFOs Take Flight
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s a drone delivering footlongs. Subway announced its Ultimate Footlong Offering for World UFO Day (June 24). The most loyal MVP Rewards members will receive new Subway offerings including Footlong Dippers, Footlong Cookies, and Footlong Subs via drone delivery today. Dallas is one of only four cities participating. Even if you are not among the upper echelon, you can still use code ‘UFODAY’ for a 20% promo good through July 1.
