From My Week
Some nights are busy. You finish work later than expected. You have a few too many dirty dishes in the sink. And you have a hankering for a double smashed cheeseburger, complete with smoked bacon jam on an inverted butter-toasted bun. Oddly specific. So you pull out your phone and text the bartender from High Fives, who just so happens to be the Burger Schmurger point person.
What is Burger Schmurger, you ask? It’s not some flippant comment suggesting that just any burger will do. Rather, it’s a pop-up open Wednesday through Sunday, nested within High Fives. Definitely a ghost kitchen feel to it. Ordering over the phone is cumbersome, if I’m being completely honest. For best results, place an order in person and have Chase whet your whistle.
For more of a classic burger, get the Schmurger.
My personal favorite is the Maverick Burger (pictured below).
